Amtrak and Operation Lifesaver were in town today.  The Amtrak was carrying Rail Venture’s luxury rail cars the Yerba Buena and the Bella Vista.  It was originally scheduled to be ushered in by the SP 4449 locomotive, which unfortunately was undergoing repairs and couldn’t make it.

While visitors didn’t get to tour the luxury rail cars, we were given a peek inside a few of the double-decker cars of the Empire Builder.
